TPCUG has a library of computer training CD’s that are available to our members on a loan basis. Thes CD's are complete multimedia training programs which include practical exercises designed to build essential skills quickly and easily. They are an excellent way to either learn a program that you may not be familiar with or to review and refresh yourself on any particular program.
The training CD's allow you to learn about different computer programs via hands-on exercises. They offer information in bite-size pieces, highlighting how to accomplish tasks in the particular application. Each CD systematically walks you through tasks by showing and doing, not just telling. All you need to do is to insert the CD in your drive and follow the instructions. You do not need a copy of the software that you are learning about.
HOW TO BORROW A CD
to the TPCUG Librarian [tpcug_ct@yahoo.com] requesting the CD to be borrowed.
The
Librarian will inform you when the CD can be picked up at a TPCUG
General Meeting. A deposit of $20.00 be required at the time of
borrowing. The deposit will be returned to the borrower when the CD is
returned. The borrowed media is not to be copied, used for
profit, or anything else outside of its original intention, which is to
educate the member and his/her family. Items are due back at the next
general meeting and borrowing is limited to 2 items at a time.
The Librarian reserves the right to limit future lending to
any member who has failed to return items previously borrowed.
